About

Erica Malachowski is a physical artist and creative based in Los Angeles. Her work centers on femininity in modernity and ancestral expanses.

She is a San Diego native who worked as a modern dancer for the San Diego Dance Theatre, the San Diego Ballet, and Eveoke Dance, performing in modern ballets by Jose Limon and Donald McKayle. At eighteen, Erica moved to New York City to earn her BFA in Musical Theatre from Pace University. Since then, she has performed across the country, originating roles for Theatre by the Sea and Theatre for the New City with luminaries such as Baayork Lee, Jay Binder, and Graciela Danielle.

In the spring of 2024, Erica received her MFA in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts.

Sometimes she records silly voices for animated characters and reassuring advisories for drug commercials.

When not performing, Erica is a Viewpoints teacher, dramaturg, collage artist, long-distance hiker, and devoted mother to her rescue cat, Nicky.
